The internet is a wonderful tool, even if it has invaded all parts of our lives. There is nothing better than to discount for a while and take a good book on a stroll through the Mercian countryside. One of the many surprises found online is the excellent Wayback Machine from the Internet Archive. This US based charity is looking to take snapshots of the whole internet, including our humble website..

Books are available from the Tourist Information Offices in Malvern and Upton Upon Severn, Malvern Book Cooperative, Malvern Gallery, Malvern Musuem and Malvern Priory Bookshop. Also in the Post Offices in Malvern Link, Barnards Green, Hanley Swan and Welland. Upton Map Shop and Ledbury Books and Maps and the Three Counties Bookshop. In Worcester, Waterstones and the Cathedral Bookshop. On-line sales are best through WH Smith whilst Amazon appears to want a minumum order of 15 customers before fulfilling orders.
What has changed since then?
For starters Malvern is still full of wonder and brings in passionate walkers.
Books are still available at the Tourist Office in Malvern but not Upton.
Sadly both the Malvern Book Coop and Malvern Gallery closed in 2025.
Books are no longer stocked in the local Post Offices, Malvern Museum, or Worcester Cathedral.
We are happy to report that books are still stocked in Upton Map Shop, Rossiter in Ledbury, Three Counties Bookshop. As well as Malvern Priory Bookshop.
As for online shopping, the best place to buy them is direct from us! Since 2016 we have expanded our book collection to include dedicated titles for Worcestershire and Ledbury as well as the original Pictorial Guide to the Malverns Hills series. Complementing this our prints and our shorter guides and leaflets – all available to order online.
